The reviews are right on the money, and every review you'll read is true. Bill and Michael really do their best to help you understand how to properly maintain your vehicle and avoid costly repairs in the future -- they truly are enthusiasts at what they do. The staff is on point, the repairs are prompt, and there are no surprises when you get your bill. They're 'matter of fact' when it comes to diagnosing your car and being honest with the customer when it comes to mandatory repairs, and they strive to satisfy. Yes, they also answer the phone and are personable. They get to know you on a first-name basis. L&M is mostly affordable -- not cheap, but then again you get what you pay for: expert service. Not a rip-off like the stealership, and not poor workmanship from a shade tree mechanic. If you're a foreign car owner, don't let your stealership convince you that 'they know your foreign car the best'. There are many quality independent mechanics out there, and L&M is one of them. When you're knowledgable and true to your profession like Bill and Michael, it shows.

Recently, I brought my BMW for service at L & M after I read all of the wonderful reviews. I have been looking for mechanics who I could trust with my car, and I do not need to look elsewhere. Bill, his sons, and wonderful crew of mechanics did wonderful work on my car! They explicitly and honestly told me what work needed to be done and helped me evaluate the pros/cons of having the repairs done now vs. later. Bill also discovered something that the dealership had neglected to fix. Prior to coming to L & M, I went to BMW dealerships for service. Last year however, the dealership told me that I needed to have all kinds of expensive repairs done, which I did not believe or do. Interestingly, when Bill and his crew checked those same areas, he told me that almost all of them were fine! In short, L & M did fabulous work on my car (it hasn't run this well in years!) and provided great customer service. Prior to leaving, Bill insisted that we go out for a test drive, and then called a week later in order to check how the car was doing. I recommend L & M very highly, and I am happy that I finally have found a great mechanic!

What great guys Billy and the crew are! I was very happy with the care and service I received @ L&M. Billy doesn't make you feel like an idiot because you might be less than handy with a socket wrench. They rake A LOT of time to explain what the problem might be, and how it will be repaired. Once it's fixed, they show you all the parts that were replaced, and the actual repairs. They even will give you the old parts to take away with you (like I actually wanted them :)). L&M will be my regular mechanic for my second-hand, I mean vintage, Mercedes-Benz. WMS

I won't take my Audi anywhere else, and they even do body work. No BS, and top-quality workmanship. I had an accident and needed $6500 in body work and repair - done. Had a weird headlight problem - done. Plus the usual maintenance. As others have said, they're not cheap, but not really expensive either. The cost is completely secondary to the work done, which is tops. The only drawback is that they're only open until 5 M-F, and closed weekends.

They aways make time to explain things until I understand what is wrong and what it will take to fix it.

What great guys Billy and the crew are! Billy doesn't talk down to you or make you feel like an idiot because you might less than handy with a socket wrench. They take A LOT of time to explain to you what the problem might be, and once it's fixed they show you all the parts that were replaced and the repairs. I could even take my old parts home (like I wanted them :). L & M will be my regular repair shop for my second-hand, I mean vintage, Mercedes-Benz. WMS
