Mr Lee, the owner of LLL Auto Repair, is a really wonderful guy (ask for him). If nothing else, the fact that LLL Auto Repair has many police officers, FDNY Paramedics (like myself) and firefighters as regular customers means that LLL Auto is a reputable shop that provides consistently excellent quality work at fantastic prices, with accurate estimates, and you won't get scammed. His hours and location are convenient (within 2 blocks of the bus and subway). Although his shop is busy, he has enough staff on hand that he can usually fit in a last minute quick emergency repair if needed. He does everything from engine/transmission repair, to brakes, to inspections, oil changes, and body work. My 1998 Ford Crown Victoria was sideswiped. After he was done (a day earlier than his estimate, btw), it looked like a brand new car! If you can, payment in cash w/a tip is the right thing to do for a guy who does the right thing by his customers (as well as bring your friends to him if you like his work). I won't take my car anywhere else and I've turned 3 of my partners on the rescue truck into loyal customers.

Mr. Lee, the owner, and his staff of many mechanics and repair technicians are top notch. He came highly recommended to me by a police officer I know, who told me more than a few cops go to him for work on their personal cars. I figured, would a mechanic inaccurately diagnose problems, overcharge and do shoddy work on a police officer's personal car? Not if he or she wanted to stay in business. I put faith in my friend and I was not disappointed. His prices are always well under what other shops charge, his work is of the highest quality, and he can handle any problem you throw at him. I have had transmission, brake, engine, suspension, and major body work done. He has done oil changes, state inspections. In addition, if he didn't finish work on time per his estimate, he actually completed the job faster than planned. While a busy shop that works on all types of cars, trucks, minivans, etc., he is open 6 days a week, from around 8:30am to 6pmish. He always finds time to get you in, even if a last minute thing. His shop is located a few steps from one bus line and one block from other buses and subway stops near downtown Brooklyn. If the work will take a few hours, there are many cafes, restaurants, and shops located within a few blocks so you have many options with which to kill time. He takes credit cards, but I always try to pay him in cash, and I always round up his price a little to tip him (he deserves it!) I'm a fire department paramedic and chief with a local volunteer rescue squad. LLL Auto is the only place I will take my personal car, which also functions as the chief response car for my agency. My partners at work now go to him exclusively as well.

All you need to know: I left Brooklyn for the environs of Albany in 2001, and I still often bring my vehicles 165 miles to Lee if at all possible. This is the most honorable, decent, and fair-priced shop I have ever found. Always use for inspections of my S-10 pickup and G6 sedan, as well as for my significant other's cars (and she has to come 30 miles farther from Saratoga), for the simple reason that no one here engages in any form of upselling. If you are told you need something done, you'd better believe it. And one other thing: Body work done by Sam is always fast, friendly, and exceedingly fair-priced. Particularly useful if you don't wish to involve your insurance company for a minor matter. In short, these guys are princes, operating out of location that you would pass right by if you didn't know better.

I was first made aware of LLL through my father-in-law. His 87 minivan needed inspection & he asked me to take it there. It was done relative quick (for an old car) & he even took the time to look at the van (without asking) & gave me some maintenance tips, while doing the inspection!
