Steve is the best mechanic I have found to date. He does ONLY what needs to be done, charges a fair price, explains what he's doing, and I am always satisfied.

My clutch wouldn't engage so I had the car towed to Excell, where they replaced my clutch ($500+). I got the car back the next day, but the problem resurfaced a day later. I called them, completely expecting to shell out more money for yet another tow and more parts and labor. Instead, Steve drove 15 miles to tow the car himself. They did the work (including an oil change!) and returned my car to my driveway. No charge. My car is working great again.

Told him about a problem I had that another mechanic told me would cost over $300. He found it was another problem and it cost me $30. That was total honesty.

My family and I have been bringing our cars to Excell for many years, and Steve never disappoints. He takes you into the shop and physically shows you the problem, instead of just telling you. He's always extremely honest and friendly, and never tries to sell you something that doesn't need to be done. He also does courtesy checks of belts, tires, brakes, etc. when doing other service. His prices are very fair, and his work is top-notch. I always recommend his shop to everyone, and never hesitate to call him with any questions.
