Southgate Automotive has been in business for about 40 years - first as Southgate Chevron and now as Southgate Automotive. David Taylor, the son-in-law of the founder, Keith Cornell, is the owner/operator. I begin doing business with this company about 35 years ago (while a Nevada highway patrolman)and have had myraid work done - all, always, to my satisfaction. I've recommended them to a wide range of people from other mechanics to women and have never experienced any reports of anything but absolute satisfaction. This is a small shop - with a couple of racks and several bays - they do fleets, as well. David is AC Delco certified - and, I wish I were a bit more conversant regarding his various certifications, but, sorry, I'm not.... Thanks for the opportunity - Sincerely, Ken Alkire

I've had vehicles repaired by this business for over 35 years, including my highway patrol car when I was a Nevada highway patrolman, in the 60s and 70s. Southgate's been a family owned business in the Reno area for a bit over 40 years, originally owned and operated by the curent owners' father-in-law. For 30 of those years the business was a well known local Chevron dealer.
