I had a very good expirience, they were very careful to show me what needed to be repaired, and explain why. When thye found an additional seal that needed to be repaired, they were careful to call me, show me the seal and make sure that I authorized the additional expense. These are good, honest polite people.

This shop is owned by two brothers (Foster, I think) and they're defintely a family shop. Good guys, but always overworked. Anyway, I keep going back. It's not the cheapest, but they won't cheat you intentionally.

These guys are the best. They never overcharge, always get the work done quicky, and are more honest than the day is long. When other shops have tried to take me for hundreds of dollars, they have fixed the problem for a song. I recommend them without reservation.

I started using this shop around 1990 because it was close to my work and have stuck with them ever since. They kept my 1977 Plymouth running until 2003 and have done good work on my other cars. They have a good record in fixing things the first time and have been very good correcting the occasional mistake.

Higher prices than I've found elsewherre, and they try to sell you every service possible. e.g., "You need an oil and filter" until I told them it had been done last week. They put in new brake pads and rotors- "the best available." After the work the car still had the same "uneven disc" braking problem. I took it back and they first suggested that I (a senior citizen, repairing my cadillac deville) had ruined them by lots of hard braking. I said no, and they then said they would change the discs and put in a better quality disc. That fixed it. They're not BAD, just average or a little below.

These guys (Roy and Karl Foster) have one of the dying breed of shops. They do good work, do it quickly, don't overcharge and without fail call to ask before they do anything that is outside the scope originally agreed on. I recommend them to anyone who asks about Reno auto repair.

I have a very ugly 1990 Subaru. I paid $450 for the car, and it needed work since it quit and left me stranded. I work for Harrah's Casino and know a lot about mechanical work. I knew I needed an alternator. I met Roy Foster and Karl Foster at their shop - right downtown Reno. I told them if the repairs were too much, I would junk the Subaru and buy another. The first thing that impressed me was they THANKED ME FOR MY BUSINESS! They took the beast and started work. They called me with a quote, told me what was necessary, and did the right things. They also found a problem with the AC and called and asked if I wanted to fix it. I said, no thanks. I picked up my dog this afternoon - electrical solved - and they said NO ALTERNATOR was necessary! My bill was about $100 LESS than they quoted - if they needed the alternator. I chose them due to being AAA recommended. AAA was right on! I will refer these guys to others I meet that need HONEST AUTO REPAIR! What a concept! HONEST AUTO REPAIR!
