I have been using PW for almost 25 years. He is the type of shop where you can take the
car to him, tell him what the problem is, and then leave him to do what has to be done. He
gladly gives estimates but after all these years, I never even bother to ask for them. If
he feels that the cost of the repair will be more than he thinks is worth doing, he just
calls me and asks if he should proceed. I have never been shocked at the size of any bill
he has given me at the end of a job.
He may not be the cheapest place in town but his prices are fair and reasonable and he
makes every effort to keep your costs as low as possible. In some instances, he will even
figure out a different way to fix a problem that sharply reduces the cost of the repair.
For example, the hood release cable on my Honda broke and the cost for the new part was
going to be several hundred dollars plus labor. PW rigged a wire from the hood release
that does the job, is hidden so that you can not see it, and cost only abut $50 labor.
He is also very good at repairing older vintage cars. He has been keeping my 1959 Austin
Healey Sprite running for as long as I have owned it. If PW ever goes out of business, I
will probably have to sell the Sprite.
It should be obvious that I recommend him very highly. He is the type of mechanic who can
be counted on to do what has to be done at a fair price.

We took my son's jeep to this shop. and PW was honest and
took great care of us. Jeep had additional repairs that
needed to be performed a few weeks later, and we were able to
get an appointment right away. Would not hesitate to take
any of our vehicles to PW.
