I first went there for an oil change several years ago because the ad in the phone book said "woman-owned", so I thought, let's see what the woman can do. What a woman! She has several men working for her, is on top of everything, and works right in there with her employees. Oil and filter change, checked tire pressures, topped up fluids, all in 10 minutes. I haven't had a lot of mechanical work done there -- yet -- but have been impressed with their attitude and honesty. When asked to change all the filters, they said the air cleaner was OK and didn't change it. They serviced my A/C today because it had quit working. Turned out a bolt was coming loose from the pulley. They repaired it, checked the belts, checked and recharged the system (it needed a bit of freon); total bill was $100 -- no environmental fees or shop supply charges, no flat-rate book, just the actual time. They work on everything except wheels, tires and alignment; but that's OK, because Jon's Alignment (also recommended) is nearby and does what they don't do.

I started taking my Subaru here for things like oil changes and little stuff even while such service was still free at the dealer because this shop is so much better to deal with than the Subaru dealer. They have never pushed unnecessary extras on me, and on several occasions have encouraged me to wait on maintenance items they feel really don't need to be addressed yet. (I'm perhaps overly eager about preventive maintenance.) Good attitude from employees, fair prices. On the few occasions I've needed to leave the car with them they do the work when they say they will, and if anything interesting comes up, they call to keep me apprised as they check out and service the problem. I've referred many friends to them and all report good experiences. Call me a loyal customer; they've earned it.
