I was out in the middle of nowhere in my Toyota RV and a
dude came along who worked at the local fixes-everything
garage. He offered to let me stay at his home, have dinner,
hang out! His garage towed me for free over there, then they
totally fixed the thing that had me miffed (and stranded).
And all for a surprisingly low price (especially since they
had to drive 100 or so miles round trip to Gallup to get the
part!!!)

I found these guys on the Car Talk Website. My daughter drives a Volvo and
teaches in a neighboring town. I called the shop to check them out before
sending my daughter to them. They were very accommodating on the phone
and could tell me exactly how many Volvos they had worked on in the last year-
about 10 which was amazing for rural NM. My daughter has taken her Volvo to
them several times for routine maintenance. They have been very good to work
with and are doing a good job keeping her car running well and at a reasonable
price.

Not just because it is the nearest repair shop for 60
miles, it is the most resonable and responsible group of
mechanics I've ever met.
