Over the past 12 years, Taki has taken excellent care of our vehicles.(3- Ford cars, 1- Ford van & 1- Toyota Camry.) He helped our 3 sons choose their 1st. cars. Before they purchased them, he checked them for safety and made sure they were mechanically sound. As soon as our Acura MDX comes off warranty, it too will be visiting "Taki Motors", for service!

His English is sometimes lacking but not his work. My entire family has been using him to maintain a variety of cars for almost 10 years.

Very honest -- Taki will never try to push an expensive solution instead of a cheaper but equally reliable one. Also very dedicated to solving hard-to-figure-out problems. Taki has several mechanics who work with him and they all seem to be highly competent. Several of our friends have also been very satisfied with Taki's work. Taki's a native Japanese speaker, and his English is, let's say, idiosyncratic, but one can get used to that. He's also an enthusiastic deep-sea fisherman! (I'm not, but he's never held that against me. :-) )

A good mechanic but you'll pay a premium of 10-30% for the assurance.

Taki is a great guy, and has personally driven me to and from the shop a couple of times, saving me taxi costs. His prices aren't cheap, but I don't feel I'm being fleeced either. I've only had a few minor repairs, tune-ups, but customer service has been excellent. When I heard a weird screeching noise a couple of days after a tire replacement, Taki took my car immediately, drove around with me, and located the problem in about 15 minutes, and fixed it free of charge. Great shop.

I have been a customer of Taki Motors for probably 15 years and agree with most that Taki is an extremely straightforward and friendly owner/operator. His rates are of course better than dealers if not always the best to be found. What you get for that rate however is honest reliable work. Outside of one very very tricky electrical problem that even took the dealership two tries to nail down they fix a problem quickly and back their work. I will echo one other reviewer and say that they do care about the customer as a person and have given both myself and another family member rides to or from the garage on occasion when we were stuck. That they do those kinds of things and with a smile while giving honest reasonably priced work is why my family members are regular customers.
