I have relied on Gary Fowler's shop for decades; the cars I
bring him are never less than 10 years old. They have
replaced 3 clutches for me and handled every kind of OLD CAR
issue, with straight and courteous talk, competitive costs,
and willingness to let me bring the car back if I'm not
satisfied, and charge very little to truly fix. They
recently did a tune-up on my '91 Camry; it didn't feel right
as I left the shop, and two days later, I brought it back
for another look. Turned out the manifold was shot. They
charged me $45 for the true and final fix (at 50% off the
labor). Now it purrs like the original kitten. Gary Fowler
runs a family shop that hires Latinos, helps them learn
English and customer service routines, and they are just
great, great people. It's a family shop, a throwback in a
town that is rapidly getting overgentrified.
