George started out as the Head mechanic for Red Bank Volvo. My parents have bought (new) 1985 and 1987 Volvos. When he left to open up his own shop, my folks went with him. My family has been bringing cars to him for repair for 13 years. - I own a 1968 Mustang (no longer on the road) a daily driver since my dad bought in new until 3 years ago. About 8 years ago I brought the Mustang in to some transmission work. He took it all apart discovered he needed a certain part that he didn't have, put it all back together again so tat I could drive it for the day or two until the part came in and then took it all apart again - he only charged for the labour once. - Since I'm slightly handy, he would often tell me how to fix certain problems myself so that I could save a few bucks. He is by far, the best and most honest mechanic I or anyone in my family has ever run across and I can't say enough about him. I would recommend him to anyone. His prices are slightly higher, I think, that others but you get more than what you pay for in this case. Mark T. Parry

GEORGE IS THE ONLY MECHANIC WHO HAS CARTE BLANCHE WHEN WORKING ON ONE OF MY CARS, AND I HAVE 4 THAT HE TAKES CARE OF. HE WON'T DO ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE DONE AND HE WON'T REPLACE A PART IF HE CAN FIX IT, AND THERE ISN'T MUCH HE CAN'T FIX. HE DOESN'T SUBSRIBE TO THE REPAIR BY REPLACEMENT PHILOSOPHY( JUST KEEP REPLACING PARTS UNTIL THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY). WHILE HE KNOWS VOLVO'S INSIDE AND OUT , HE HAS A SUPPLY OF USED PARTS IF THAT IS THE MOST ECONOMICAL WAY TO REPAIR THE CAR. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE VOLVO EXPERIENCE ,IF ITS MECHANICAL HE CAN FIX IT. WE HAVE 2 VOLVO'S, 1 ISUZU TROOPER AND A GMC SUBURBAN AND HE IS THE ONLY MECHANIC TO TOUCH THEM. ALSO, HE SELLS SOME USED CARS, ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY VOLVOS, HE'S THE ONLY GUY FROM WHOM I WILL BUY A USED CAR. HE STANDS BEHIND IT 100%. AND NOT JUST FOR 30 DAYS. EVERYBODY THAT I HEVE REFERRED TO HIM HAS CONTINUED TO USE HIM AS THEIR MECHANIC. HE WAS ORIGINALY A MECHANIC FOR A LOCAL VOLVO DEALER AND WORKED HIS WAY UP TO SERVICE MANAGER BELORE STRIKING OUT ON HIS OWN. I RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY AND WITHOUT EQUIVOCATION.

Pro Vo Vo is the best shop I've ever been to. I bought a
1986 760 Turbo Wagon from George and a 1999 Volvo S70. He
fixed everything before he sold the vehicles and warrantied
them for 3 mos/3000 miles. I gave the repair price a 3
because Volvo parts are, by nature, expensive, but it is the
best way to guarantee the longevity of your vehicle. I had
the misfortune to have an independent shop that did not
specialize in Volvos work on the vehicle, and they installed
a power steering rack from Autozone (TM) that needed to be
replaced; they installed a second one that was not centered
on the yoke and George tightened the seals and cleaned up
after them for free. I gave fix the problem the first time
a 4 because they try to remedy the potentially smaller, less
expensive fixes first (a fact that I, as a poor student,
appreciated, but it usually ended up being the more
expensive thing, i.e. water pump). Everything else speaks
for itself. I ultimately had to get rid of both Volvos
because of the expensive repairs, but George was the only
mechanic that I would trust with them.
