Sadly, I no longer live in NJ, so I can't take my car to Dornick's anymore. They are the best garage I have ever been to. They are honest, very fairly priced, and take the time to explain everything to you. The explain long and short term needs and every mechanic there does an excellent job. They rarely make mistakes, but when they do, they fix the problem immediately and explain exactly what happened. They also treat men and women equally well. I've had them work on two cars for me: a '67 Cougar and a '90 Subaru. My mother takes her Honda to them, and several of my friends and former co-workers have been taking their cars to Dornick's for years. It's an excellent garage! I just wish they had a s

I have had them repair at least four different makes and models of vehicles. They are extremely honest and even went so far as to refer me to the dealer to fix an anti-lock brake light problem on my Ford Windstar because it would be cheaper for me - they were right the dealer had to have the vehicle three times before thay got it repaired. They have recently (Aug '06) moved from Madison to Route 10 and since I now live in Edison it is to far for me to go for repairs. I will try your files and see how the highly rated ones do down here!

I trust this shop and would recommend it to anyone. Everyone who works there is friendly and happy to explain the problem and show it to you on the lift if necessary. They do good work and they're honest.

I have been going to Dornick's for years. They are extremely honest, hard working and never make me feel like a dope. They have often done small jobs for nothing and often take my car in on a moments notice if I have a problem. Highly recommended.

I went to this shop for years and was always happy with the results. Unfortunately I don't work/live in the Madison area anymore. Don't be turned off by the smokey waiting room, these guys are great! (And the little pug dog hanging out behind the counter is a bonus.)

I have used Dornick's for over 20 years and travel from NYC to have them service my car. I have never been disappointed with the various services I've received over the years. One time I sent a young lady who was told by another mechanic, to repair her car would cost over $500, I told her to take it to Bob Dornick. He repaired the problem for $25. You will find Bob and all the people who work with him to be very competent, skilled and customer oriented. Its a pleasure to do business with someone you trust and have confidence you car problem will be fixed.

I have been very happy with their service. In fact, a problem that my dealer would have charged me $1000 to fix, they were able to for under $100 (do maintenance on the brake rotors instead of replacing them outright). I have complete confidence in their work and do not trust my oil changes, battery changes or even wiper blade replacements to any other mechanic but Dornicks. I have no reservations about recommending them for any car repair; if they cannot assist they will admit it and refer you to the dealership mechanic but at least if that happens you will have a better understanding of the issue than even the poorly trained dealer mechanic.
