Ralph and Kevin are both nice and honest. They are mechanics and businessmen who operate with integrity, refuting the sometime oxymoron "honest auto mechanic". They provide timely and competent service, and have saved me considerable money by pointing out repairs or service that was covered under waranty that I would have gladly paid them to do. The one time in the eight years we have been using them that a repair did not go right, they did not charge us. We highly recommend them.

Ralph is always upfront about what's going on, and truthful with his diagnosis and costs. I've been taking my car to Ralph for over 15 years and I couldn't be happier.

Ralph now runs the shop by himself, overseeing every move of two very good mechanics. They've done all the work on all of my vehicles since 1994, and the ONE time the repair didn't work, they did it again, successfully, for free. Ralph is an honest, upfront guy. He runs an excellent shop!

Ralph and his guys have been working on my cars for at least 20 years. Their work is always excellent, well explained, and timely. In the few instances where something wasn't completely right, they corrected it, and more, at their expense. My wife and daughters have also been treated very well in Ralph's shop.

Ralph is an institution around here. Quite a few people at my company take their cars the two blocks to Ralph at Auto Lab, including some of the top brass. People who do are all very happy with the place, including me. I've been taking my car there and my wife's for around 14 years, even during periods when I worked at another facility closer to home. I'm detail oriented and Ralph explains everything and strategizes to keep repairs as affordable as practical, whatever makes sense for the age of the car.

We started taking our two Volkswagens to Auto Lab two years ago, after becoming fed up with the cost of repairs at the local dealership. I have nothing but positive things to say about Auto Lab and Ralph, the proprietor. The work is always done well, and generally at half the price we might have paid at a dealership. Ralph always takes the time to explain what needs to be done, and his actions are clearly guided by his determination to fix only what needs fixing. An example: A $1,000 part in the exhaust system of my 2002 Passat recently failed. Given that this is a car with 190,000 miles, Ralph opted for a much less costly fix than replacing the entire part: welding a metal collar around the broken pipe, probably buying us an additional year of life for this expensive component. The repair was completed for probably one-quarter what a dealer might have charged. As a fully satisfied two-year customer, I absolutely trust Auto Lab and highly recommend them.
