the shop has done expert work for me. we first used them after moving to the area, and after a previous body shop had "orange-peeled" the paint on a minor repair to our l987 mercedes 190. the second time we used them was when a local business we no longer use [no names since you said not to denigrate anyone] scratched the expensive fender of our 1970 280sl. as a health professional, i can tell you that few things are more difficult than repairing someone else's mistake(s). mercedes paint can be hard to match (especially on older models) and doesn't seem cheap. dingman's repaired both problems better than i had hoped. they explained the procedure thoroughly, gave an accurate estimate, and told me what the options and risks were (as if the cars were undergoing surgery). they also gave several hints on how we, as owners, could enhance the durability of our cars. their costs were reasonable and they had a clean and orderly-looking shop. the repair people seemed to enjoy what they were doing. [when you are new to an area, finding a good mechanic or body shop seems at least as difficult as finding a good physician or dentist. this is one reason we appreciate your rating service.]
