I had a brake problem on my Subaru. I called them up around noon just to get them to look at it, with my thinking that they'd require me to come back another day, earlier in the morning to get to it for the actual repair. They looked at it within minutes after my bringing it in that same day. They then offered to give me a ride home (about 7 miles each way) for free, pick me up when the work was done - and did the job for about $350. less than what Subaru had charged me (rotors and pads) on a prior repair. Plus, the labor charge amounted to the grand total of $40., and they were working on it for perhaps 2 hours. Damnation!!

I went in for 60k mile checkup on Honda Civic and overall assessment: Check brake pads Alignment Rotate and balance tires Check about idle speed. I went in with a whole laundry list of concerns and asked them to let me know if they were in fact issues since I plan on keeping this car as long as possible. They were prompt, considerate, and provided me with a good list of things that needed to be done and items that could wait till later; plus they fully responded to items that I was worried about and were not actually problems. They had no issue with my putting off low essential things till later. There was absolutely no high-pressure upsale. Wonderful experience and I've finally found a good place to call "my mechanic".

After vacationing in Wrightville Beach, NC, in March, we were heading back North to Vermont, a strange annoying grinding sound began in the front of the vehicle. Not wanting to get stranded in West Virginia, we stopped by another auto repair shop in Wilmington to get it checked out. That shop, Randy's, was booked for the day and suggested Kennedy Automotive. We are glad they did. Keith (the owner) and I went for a diagnostic drive and found the right front wheel bearing needed to be replaced. They took us right in and completed the repair in less than 3 hours, and at a very reasonable fee. We are very satisfied with the professional service and friendly atmosphere and would not hesitate to recommend Kennedy Automotive to anyone needing their services.
