Harold is the man I usually ask for. They stay busy but put forth the effort finish the job as promised. Bus routes are right out front, but Raleigh's public transportation system is pretty bad anyway. Waiting room is like that of any small service station, but there is a strip mall right next door if you want to wait on the service, which is usually quite prompt. The cost will probably be close to dealership, as they usually use high quality or even factory-recommended parts that they have to fetch themselves - but quality and reliability is never a question and they seem to always be able to fit you in!

They've been working on my car and my daughters cars for years. I think they've always done a good job and don't feel that they've ever done unnecessary repairs.

John Carrington and his staff have provided us the same level of excellent service as we had with the previous owners, the Daly family. Over 20 + yrs of my family being customers. They are very responsive to the elderly, us late midlle agers, and the younger generation. You can trust them with your parents', children' or your own vehicles. We used to go the Buick and Ford dealers but find Eastgate Shell to be very competitive and must more user friendly. We hope that they will continue to be in our neighborhood.

I initially went to Eastgate shell when my car broke down at my work. I got it towed the quarter of a mile, and they looked it over and told me what should be done, what needed to be done, and what absolutely had to be done to get it back on the road. Being very poor at the time, I went with the absolutely had to be done option, and got my car back on the road for less than $200. When I mentioned what was wrong with my car at work, several coworkers winced, and asked me how much it cost. When I told them, they were literally floored. One of them had had the EXACT same problem, and had gotten it fixed at a dealer for $600. Since then, and through several other cars, I have always used Eastgate Shell, and have recommended it to all my friends (including my female roommate). They all pretty much use Eastgate Shell, and they have all repeatedly thanked me for the recommendation, since they feel well treated and the price is right.

I have taken my car to Eastgate ever since I have had my car; they are honest and provide excellent service. I have never had a complaint, and they really know about what needs to be done on your car. They will never tell you about service that needs to be done, unless it needs to be done. They are great at explaining why you need a particular service, and they do services at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a mechanic.
