I had been taking my '95 Mercury Mistake to the dealership with an assortment of transmission sensor problems within the the first year I purchased it (new). Each time they fixed it (the speed sensor was their claim), I got whaked with a horrific bill that Ford Motors would eventually hear about (the car has had 5 speed sensors replaced starting at 15,000 miles). I had called Al's Garage and they highly reccommended going to The Service Department. Great advice! The mechanic who looked at it, Jimmy, was very efficient and gave a great explaination of the problem. Moreover, the cost was 1/4th of what I had been getting billed for at the dealership. A great place! Will always go there with any future problems (if I keep the car that's a guarantee!

Jimmy and Pat (the owners) were mechanics at a local Ford dealership and went out on their own. They are always competetive on price and have always given me an honest answer even if it's "I don't know the answer to that". I have never had a problem with any work that they have completed for me. They are busy so it's always better to call ahead to make sure they can get you in. Nicer guys you'll never meet!

They have taken care of my 2 Fords, and an old Nissan I use to own. Always upfront about when the car will be done, and always great service. Great people.

Pat and his crew set the standard for what auto mechanics should be. I labeled myself as a biased customer because he lives across the street from where I once did. But his manner is one of utmost politeness and professionalism, while maintaining a great sense of humor. They are as honest as you can get and have on several occasions taken me to the back to show me what's going wrong and where/what the damage is. Prices are as fair as you can get when it comes to auto repair. I wish they worked in Greensboro now that I have moved.
