I've been using this shop for almost 15 years. They are always busy. Many repairs they have done the same day or the next day. If you have a small problem they won't sock you with a big labor charge. I have used them for Toyota, Nissan, Dodge, and Ford. They fixed them all. Most of the time the replacement part is more than labor charge. I just paid them almost $6oo for my latest repair...And I am happy, and the car runs great!

Ron's is the kind of place that helps make Hickory the great town it is. I am suspicious of auto repair shops in general. However, over the past 16 years, Ron's has earned my trust to the extent that I just drop the vehicle off and tell them the problem - no questions, no instructions to call with the diagnosis etc. I trust their judgment and honesty. In one case, they replaced the idle control valve on an '88 Mustang 5.0 about two years ago. A few weeks ago, the car quit on me. I had Viewmont Texaco (owned by Ron's) tow it to Ron's. They diagnosed the problem as the idle control valve again. Since I only put about 5k miles on the car annually, they replaced the part for no charge - not even the tow. Tell me a dealer that will do that!

This is the best repair shop I have ever used. They are prompt, honest, priced reasonably, and do excellent work. Took my RAV-4 to the Toyota dealer to get a recall thing taken care of and they did that, then said that we needed about $2500 in other stuff done. I got a detailed list, took it to Ray (the chief mechanic at Ron's), and they went over the vehicle thoroughly and fixed everything for less than $200. Vehicle fine 10,000 miles later. I could relate many other happy experiences, too. I love Ron's Auto.
