Prior to finding the University Service Center, I had been prey to many an automotive repair brigand. So it seemed improbable that an honest, competent mechanic would be located two blocks from my job (at the university). My dealings with the University Service Center over the past 4 years have been more than satisfactory. They make repairs lightning fast and always for a reasonable sum of money. I highly recommend their services.

The shop has been servicing my car for the last 6 years. Mickey (the mechanic) finally told me to get rid of the car and buy a new one before I had to spend a lot of money on the car. Now ever heard of a mechanic that would do that? I thought it was great!!!!!

Right before leaving on a long-weekend, 650-mile road trip, my car wouldn't start. I left my tub at Mickey's (the mechanic's name) shop I contacted him by phone expecting to hear I needed a new engine. Well, he said, you had a vacuum leak. I reclamped it, you're all set. I told him to check the brakes as I would be out of town for another couple of days. Upon my return, and to my surprise, Mickey told me I didn't really need a brake job yet. Needless to say, he's made a new loyal customer.

This small repair shop is under new management. I liked it before, but the new manager, Charles, is truly excellent. Best of all, for this single grandmother, Charles is earnest and honest. I know he is getting me the best prices he can.
