Larry is honest and fair. I've referred many friends to him. The only problem he hasn't been able to fix, he called several other shops to consult, only to find he didn't have the equipment to do it, and referred me to a shop in the big city (Asheville). Also, I drive a junker, and Larry is quick to advise me NOT to have him fix certain things - and I'm female!

Larry is honest, fast, competent. He treats all customers with respect. He specializes in a/c, brakes, does most repairs that a man alone can do. This precludes transmissions and heavy engine work for example. He makes a fair hourly labor charge (for the region) but is quite fast. Anecdote: A day or so ago he agreed to look at my Plymouth Horizon that he worked on for problem (the a/c would make the car buck-buck-buck). The car ran fine after he added Freon. Quite reasonable charge. Later it appeared to me to be running terribly lean -- mileage up 3 or 4 MPG, ran rough, and the a/c would make the car buck. I made an appointment, but it stopped misbehaving. I kept the appointment. He spent time testing and driving it to see what he could find, but found nothing. No charge.
