Don took over this shop from Charlie who had owned it for decades and was a local legend. He has upgraded and modernized the facility but the honest, friendly and reasonably priced service remains the same.

Don is an energetic and knowledgeable young man working hard to build his business. He is located in the same space as Helena's legendary, Charlie (who retired), has made many improvements to the shop since taking over, but continues Charlie's tradition of quality work, honesty, friendliness and fair pricing. Although I now live in Seattle, Don worked on my 1992 Subaru for a number of years and I've always found him to be respectful of me as a female customer and has even been willing to consult with me long distance about my car.

Until I moved back to Montana a few years ago, I always had my 1995 Mazda Protege worked on by the dealer who I absolutely trusted. Now the closest t Mazda dealer is 110 miles away on the other side of the Continental Divide & that's not going to work! I found DJ's Automotive using this site & have been extremely satisfied not only with the excellent service they provide but also, as I sat waiting for the work on my car to be done, noticed how they treated other customers, including one who was a traveling salesman of some sort whose company truck had totally broken down. Even though the shop was very busy, the fellows at DJ's were very sympathetic & were trying their best to work his repairs into their schedule. Their shop has moved into larger quarters on the road by the old airport which isn't quite as convenient for me but that won't stop me from being their very satisfied customer who's happily recommended them to my friends & family!
