Doc was actually recommended by another shop, "White Front" automotive, because they didn't want to work on my Subaru (this was years ago). We were hooked immediately!!! My wife used to have a 1993 Chrysler Concorde and that machine saw doc more frequent than my 1991 Subaru Legacy Turbo (which I still drive – over 200,000 miles, I think?). I'll never forget the last conversation he had with my wife concerning the Chrysler. She's returning his phone call and he answers politely; "Is it done, doc!!! Well Denise... it's DONE. Great, when can I pick it up, do I owe you allot of money, I'm so excited! No Hun... it's... DONE." Three weeks later we're the proud owners of a 2004 Honda Odyssey. I'm still driving the Subaru (which fortunately has Massachusetts undercoating) so only the body is rusting away faster than the rod-iron gate. Doc is a great mechanic and doesn't fix things that are unnecessary. He warns you of upcoming events (listen because he's always right). Doc gets my highest recommendation. c.s.

I've used this place for a few years now, and go to them for most mechanical problems. They're always easy to get along with, never condescending and reasonably priced. When I needed the slave clutch cylinder on my truck replaced, I told them there was no rush, and I would pick it up in a few days. When my boss called a few hours later and told me I needed to be at a client the next day, I called Doc's up and asked if they could get it done by the end of the day. They didn't promise anything (which I appreciated) but did have it done by the end of the day. That was 40k+ miles ago, and I'm still using that clutch cylinder.

Doc's shop is great. Fair prices and honest people! On one visit, my car was making some noises, and I thought it was due for a brake job. Doc confirmed that my hubcaps were loose, and my brakes were in perfect working order! Talk about a fair and honest business!
