This shop is especially good at not doing work that is really not needed - they will even talk you out of repairs if they think it is a waste of your money. I have never had to return a second time to get something done. They are friendly and very competent. Once (around 1988) my Civic would start and not run. I called the owner (Jan) and he said to have it towed. He told me, before he saw the car, that the carborator float was bad and he would have to change the plugs and oil because gas had gotten to them. When he got the car - he was absolutely right. I asked him how he did that. He said - with the Civics if it doesn't run it is the float. If it makes noise it is the water pump and nothing else breaks. He only works on a few models (but the body shop does all cars) so he knows them very well. I have recommneded them to many people and all have been very pleased.

I have used them for about 25 years. They will help you if you want to do the work yourself. Their prices are above average, but they do stand behind th work and are trustworthy. Wish they are open on weekends.

All of the above are true. I have gone to this shop for about l5 years, and have never been dissatisfied. They would never tell you something was needed if you reallhy did not need it. I trust them completely. I am so glad that I know about their shop.

First time "customer" Was told by my dealer that I needed a slew of repairs, most pressingly a $550+ repair on my front ball joints. My car also had developed a dry vibrating rattle following a long car trip. I showed up near closing, and Jan put my car up on the lift. I had previously called his shop and mentioned the ball joint issue; at the shop, I also told him I had been hearing a strange rattle. When I stepped into the garage after waiting around in the main office, Jan and another mechanic were in the process of tightening up the heat shield. He told me that my front ball joints looked absolutely fine and sounded genuinely angry that the dealer had told me otherwise. He didn't charge me a dime for the inspection or the repair.
