We use Jon the mechanic.
Very nice people. Excellent work.
You know they are going to be a little more expensive than
the service station when you see a car trailer parked in
their lot with "Porsche Racing Team" logo on the side ----
but they almost always fix it right the FIRST
TIME.......I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THE DEALERS ..... these
guys are nicer, fix it better and are about the same price
or cheaper.

I bought a used 1987 Porsche 944S and asked Jon to evaluate
it especially since no record of timing belt
changes/adjustment could be found. He took the time to go
over the car completely and estimated the belt to be in
reasonably good shape but warned that it is a critical
maintenance item on an interference type engine. It would
have been easy for him to say "replace it now" and get my
job immediately, but he asked me about how I drive the car
and to what use (daily driver, recreation, etc) I intended
to put it. In other words he took the trouble to learn
about me and my car before automatically suggesting a very
expensive repair. I really respect that.
