Tom, the owner, known as "Knobbie" on the website is a friend of a friend. His shop has done a lot of work for me and several of my colleagues at work. They are pros and have a sense of humor but take their work very seriously. I tell anybody who asks about honest mechanics to go to these guys.

I've been going to these guys for probably 5 years or more. Theirs is a little shop, but I feel they do good work and are honest. They've provided loaner cars when they couldn't get my work done by the end of the day. In the few times problems have arisen as a result of their work, they've taken care of things quickly and professionally. I have recommended them to friends.

These guys know what they are doing and only do what needs to be done. Honest and reasonable priced.

We have been customers of Hyde Park Service for over 20 years. We first started going to Tom K., when he was still working from his house, in a rear unattached garage. Tom was recommended by different acquaintances of my wife and mine. We continued going to him for several years. They then bought their current shop, and we're still going there. We are still satisfied with their diagnostic skills, mechanic abilities, and time of repairs. They are even cordial when I try to fix something and screw it up, and they have to fix it right. So, even when I have to pay the "stupid tax", to repair it properly, it's worth it.
