When I owned a car other than the one I own now, Ken spent half a Saturday afternoon switching alternators on my car (Volkswagen). 1st one purchased from parts house wouldn't charge, next one the armature shaft wasn't long enough, finally, the 3rd time (is the charm) it worked. I was charged for only one visit.
