I recently rear ended someone in my '93 Geo Prizm. I didn't get much $$ from the insurance company (they decided my car was a total loss) and don't have money for a new car, so I needed someplace to get it fixed cheaply. One place I went to estimated it would cost $1100 (which is more than I got from the insurance company). When I went to Schneider's I could instantly tell I was at the right place. He looked up the prices for the parts right in front of me, and I could see he was charging me what they would cost him. I found this interesting because the place we went to before (Cook's Body Shop--the $1100 place) has us wait at the car while they wrote up the estimate, and they claimed the same parts would cost 2-3x as much as what Schneider was pricing them at. He gave me a detailed estimate on the damage. And when I went in to pick up my car the actual price was $50 less--yes, LESS-- than what he had estimated. The repair work is great and I have not had any problems with it. I was so pleased with my experience there that I even sent them a Thank You note. I can't believe Cook's Body Shop was trying to charge me $1100 for the same job Schneider was able to do for only $400!! Would definetly recommend.
