I took an old Honda Accord in that was making some loud scraping noises from the front end. Being an old car, they could have said about anything and I wouldn't have known. They said there was a piece of sheet metal hanging loose, they bent it out of the way and charged me $0 - zero. Another time with a different Accord I said the brakes must be shot and I needed new ones. Nope, the guys said my brakes were fine with plenty of life in them. Sent me on my way to the tune of $10. How many times do you think that happens at the big chains?

This shop is always totally up front about what repairs need to be done, and they always explain why, and how much it will cost. They also tell me what repairs I may need in the near future. This is all very helpful for me because I don't know a lot about cars, but I'm learning. They will never, never do unnecessary work. I also think their prices are great! I have a ten year old car, and it has broken down in a few different parts of the upper midwest, and I've paid a wide range of prices for auto service. These guys are by far the lowest, and their work is very dependable. I highly recommend them.

Bellaire has serviced our vehicles (from Dodge Omni to Taurus SHO) for the last 15 years. They have always been honest and up front about costs. Repairs have always done expertly and on time. They always have the defective parts they have replaced available for you to see. They have always treated my not too car savvy wife honestly. They recently expanded their building to add another bay. I drive by the shop almost daily and business seem brisk. The co-owners are both easy to talk with and quite knowledgeable. One day when what turned out to be a blown fuse caused some odd dashboard problems in my Taurus, I stopped to see what they thought was wrong with the car. They looked at it out in the driveway and immediately sensed that it was probably a loose or bad fuse. They were right, it was a bad fuse. They replaced it and all was well. I was getting my wallet out to pay them and was told, "forget it, it wasn't that big of a deal". By the way the shop is located at County Road F and Bellaire Avenue in White Bear Lake.

Ed and Brian are top-notch honest mechanics, they only fix what needs to be fixed and do not try and talk you into additional services.

The guys who run this shop have worked on my cars for ten years. they are great at doing needed repairs, and not gouging you for unneeded things. they let you know where things stand with your car, and their estimates are always right on. they kept cars running for my teenagers and didn't charge me a fortune to make the necessary repairs. You must call ahead though, they are busy. And no, they don't have loaners and this isn't the kind of place you would wait for your car to be done--you drop it off and pick it up.

Ed and Brian have talked me out of more unnecessary work that I thought I needed then actual work performed. This is what an honest auto mechanic shop looks and performs like. If they ever retire I will simply quit driving as opposed to going through the stress of getting cars repaired elsewhere.
