I tried a number of local repair shops, but after I found the Phoenix I won't let anyone else near my cars. They only fix what really needs fixed, don't try to talk you into additional repairs, give a good assesment of your car, fix it right the first time. They are first rate.

From being in my early twenties to now in my early thirties, the guys at the Phoenix have treated me very well. As a female, I would not return if they didn't! I have had old Honda's (4), and now an '89 Camry, the few odd problems my cars have had, the guys have diagnosed and repaired quickly, expertly, and congenially. The normal wear and tear items are a piece of cake for them. They always behave professionally without being stuffy or condescending. I am always glad to talk to them by telephone to make appt's and always glad to take my car in to see them. They charge a respectable amount for their work which I am glad to pay, knowing that the value is great. As I am looking at perhaps purchasing my frst new car and am dreading having to start up with a whole new garage at a dealership because the guys at the Phoenix are so wonderful....hmmm, maybe I will stick with a newer used Honda instead...

Phoenix is the most knowledge shop on Saabs' I have ever visited. I was in for a mechanical repair once and happened to mention my dash lights were not working; they replaced the bulbs free of charge.

If you own a Saab, you take it to Phoenix; there's no better alternative!

I have had great luck with this shop for servicing my 1995 VOLVO 850. Once my parking broke locked up on my Land Cruiser, I dropped by unannounced - a couple of mechanics dropped what they were doing and did a quick repair on the spot - at no charge.

These guys do not push to have additional items repaired like so many shops. They are honest and competent.

I have brought my car in to the Phoenix and other places as well and I always end up kicking myself when I go to the other places. The guys at the Phoenix are honest and they do quality work. They don't tell me that 15 things are wrong with my car and it'll cost $1000 to fix it all and that it must be done now or my car will blow up every time I bring it in for an oil change. They don't always explain things to me but I do not feel like they try to take advantage of me because I am so ignorant of my car's inner workings.

I've gone to this shop off-and-on for over 10 years. They have fixed the-first-time several problems that have baffled other shops and the car dealer. They have always been sensitive to my needs, and always tried to save me money. The owner is a Brazilian guy named Walt, who employs his sons Mike and Scott. It's an old fashioned family business. When presented with a problem, Walt rides with you in the car, listens to you and the car, and then tells you all the possibilities of what could be wrong. He then presents the alternatives with emphasis on the cost to you of each possible repair strategy. Once, Walt was wrong about something. He apologized deeply to me and explained how he would fix it. These guys are a dream come true.

These guys give a damn about their work. They take pride in it and want to do the best reasonable job. They are good at diagnostics, which is tough to do today with manufactuers proprietary systems and technology. They are good guys. If you can't take your car to Click and Clack in Boston, then taking it to the Phoenix in St. Louis Park is a pretty good alternative.
