I started going to this place because it was convenient for me to drop my car off and take the bus to work. (It is at the corner of Randolph and Snelling.) I have stuck with them because they do good work and they are honest and easy to work with. I have never had a problem getting an appointment within a day or two. They always give me estimates and stick with them. I especially appreciate that they lay out the options I have and they will recommend the less expensive option when it makes sense. They also keep good records so they know what has been done--and what will need to be done at some point. And they have a nice dog.

Sean and his crew are our neighborhood service team. They have taken care of 5 of our cars - all different makes. They are as respectful and diligent with the younger family members (high schoolers/college age)as the parent-types. Straight answers, will work to save you money but not at the risk of doing something half-way. And they go the extra mile. I stopped by due to a flashing thermometer light on the dash - Sean was on his way out in the truck. He saw me pull up, and so came back in and helped me trouble shoot to make sure the car was safe to drive. Another time I pulled up with a problem and one of the mechanics worked for 45 minutes on my car in the drive - and never charged me for his time. And don't forget Wanda at the cash register in the store- she always chats, is cheerful and makes beautiful Christmas cards that they send out every year. And they have towing, in case it's needed. Open evenings/weekends.

Sean is a great neighborhood mechanic. He is honest, affordable and does a great job keeping my 15 year old Ford running. If you live near Highland Park or Mac Groveland and you own a car then I highly recommend Highland Service on Snelling.
