I believe that Mark has always been straighforward with me when discussing repairs on my car. He calls me at work to inform me about repairs he thinks are needed, and my opinion as to whether the repair is appropriate (given the age and/or condition of the car) is always the final word. If I ask his opinion, he will offer it. On one occasion, after I had my car towed to his garage, he called me to tell me what I had been told at another garage (which shall remain nameless) was incorrect, and my car only needed minor repairs. Mark said, " I always do my own diagnostic work." Further, I have had the opportunity to find out that Mark stands behind his guarantee. Mark is willing to work with me regarding my schedule for repairs to my car. I really NEED a car within a day if at all possible, both for work and home purposes, and Mark gets the car done at the time he said he would. Finally, I find Mark's garage to be conveniently located. I usually pick up the #9 (St. Paul route) only a block from Mark's garage to go to work, and the return trip is on the #9C, the one which goes to Maplewood Mall; it runs pretty frequently. Also, there is a branch library right across the street to go to if it is open and the repairs will only take a little while.

More than once I've given Mark the go-ahead to do a needed repair at a certain price, and have come back to discover that he found an effective but more economical way to accompish the task, saving me money compared to the authorized repair price! What more can you say?!
