The shop is always busy - a good sign, I think. They had a chance to sell me an unneeded transmission repair when my car was acting up in a major cold spell and didn't take it. Highly recommended. I just sad I moved away from that neighborhood.

Will advise you about repairs with respect to safety AND economic advantage. An excellent place when you are looking for good work but not necessarily cheap. One trip usually does it. Will schedule work when a loaner car is available. Do NOT do uncalled for work.

I've gone to St. Anthony several times over the five years and Roger, the owner, is the tops! He takes the time to really explain what the problem is and puts in language that I could understand. He also had the honesty to have the "the talk" with me - it was getting to the time when I needed to decide if it was worth putting more money into my car or should I "put it down". What kind of machanic tries to talk you out of spending money!

Roger and his crew always perform great work. They are careful to understand the problem and fix only what you wish. They will provide a loaner of give you a ride to work/home.

They have worked on a number of our cars (Pulsar, Mazda 326, Acura Integra, Oldsmobile, Hondas) and performed consistently at "5" level, including stepping up when something needed to be changed or reviewed. We especially appreciate that Roger has looked for the most affordable solutions for us and is willing to take time to "treatment plan."

Before visiting St Anthony Mobil, I had nothing but terrible luck with mechanics in the Twin Cities. I had a great experience at St Anthony Mobil - I will definitely go back and I will recommend the place to friends and family. A few weeks ago my car started shaking the check engine light came on. I took it into St Anthony Mobil without an appointment and they did the diagnostic test for the check engine light right away while I watched. (I have actually paid $115 for this same test at another place, so I was partly thrilled to have them do it at no charge and partly horrified that I had once paid so much for it.) The mechanic asked if the problem occurred while it was raining and when I said yes, he sprayed water on the spark plug wires. Sure enough, the same shaking started again. Turns out I had a cracked spark plug wire, and it was quick, easy, and inexpensive to replace. The highlights of this shop include: - He showed me exactly what he was doing (with the check engine light test and spraying water on the plugs). I could see for myself what was going on, he had nothing to hide and I felt I could trust these mechanics. - Got my car in right away with no appointment and had it ready for me the same day. - Gave me a free loaner car while they did the work. - Affordable and avoided additional unnecessary work. I asked if I needed to replace the spark plugs along with the wires and was told "No, you don't need to do that yet. In another 10,000 miles you can do that." - Friendly and courteous.

Roger takes the time to explain and re-explain the repairs. Fair and honest. No reservations about taking my car to this shop.
