These guys are GREAT. It's a pa (Bernie) and sons operation, and they're honest to the core. Their prices are really fair (--cheap by auto standards!) and they treat people well. I've had them do "meat and potato" type of repairs - which seems to be their specialty. (They were reluctant to perform an expensive cosmetic repair on a friend's 15 year old / 240K mile Civic). They've check out used cars for us and fixed a flat for me at no charge when my car was valdalized. When a job's too big for their shop, they'll let you know and send you elsewhere. I've recommended them to at least half-a-dozen folks. I appreciate the way they do business.

Always fair with any fixes done. Never ones to fix something for the sake of running up a bill or because they think you'll need it done in a while anyway. If there is something wearing and will need replacing, they'll give you a good idea of how long you can go before "needing" it done. This has saved lots of money when in a pinch. Can then plan to take care of it later. They are just polite nice folks to do business with and they know what they are

My favorite anecdote relates to how we found the shop. We'd
taken our '96 Buick in for a long overdue coolant flush, and
been told we needed to replace all sorts of things.
Concerned, we tried three other places with similar results.
Then we went to East Hennepin. They looked it over, told us
what needed to be fixed for safety, what might be nice if we
had extra money lying around, and how to avoid future such
expenses. Then they told us what each option would cost and
when we could get our car back.
Other occasions, they have been willing to squeeze us in
when it was urgent.
They have always finished the work by the time specified, at
the cost expected.
