Larry & his guys specialize in the kind of problems that drive most mechanics nuts. My car had been to numerous shops & dealerships for an intermittent driveability problem which none of them were able to solve. Larry figured it out & had the car back to me the same day. Their prices are not the cheapest, but they are the best. I have since become a regular customer & have them do all of my regular maintenance. They track all of my car's repair history on computer & never recommend more service work than what is required. In the long run I know I am saving money by not having unexpected breakdowns & because they find small problems before they become big problems. Larry is a mechanic on a professional nitro funny car team & is sometimes hard to get a hold of because he travels so much. But, both of the guys that work for him (Greg & Scott) are equally competant & have done good work for me. Give this world class repair shop a shot & you won't be disappointed!

I lived in Minneapolis for 5 years and I wish I had someone like Larry to go to now. The guy is great. The one time he couldn't reproduce an intermitant problem, I wasn't charged.

Larry has serviced my family's cars for over 20 years, which, unfortunately for Larry, has meant keeping a bunch of clunkers running, at which he has done an admirable job. He's very straightforward, letting us know when a repair just isn't worth it for a particular car, and also letting us know when he considered a vehicle no longer safe to drive (and not worth repairing). I guess his prices are higher, but only when he charges you :-) He never charges for the small stuff (like remounting a door handle or reconnecting the windshield washers to that little thing that makes 'em go). In 20 years, there's been only one serious error, and he fessed right up without prompting and didn't charge for the correction. Once an unrelated part failed a week after an oil change, and he only charged us for parts to fix it, because he felt he should have noticed there was a problem during the oil change. He's kinda gruff, but he's also got a sly sense of humor.

After installing a new alternater to fix a non-starting car, they found that a new battery was required. Finding that the alternater was not really needed, they replaced the old one and did not charge for anything except the new battery. That's honesty isn't it?
