We have four drivers in our house. In the last 8 years since we starting going to them they have done all the work on the two Subaru's I drove my wifes 97 Plymouth van my oldest son's 92 olds and my youngest son's 92 Toyota. Because of the age and mileage on the kids cars we have had to have a number of things fixed. We have never had any problems with any of the work they have done. The price has been fair and it is always been done on time. They are just very nice people to deal with.

I always walk out feeling I was told the truth, given only work I needed, and informed about what's really happening with my car. They charge for what they do, but what they do is right.

Our family has two Subarus, but because we're devoted Subaru customers, Z-Tech has had the pleasure of working all of our four different models of Subaru over the past 10+ years (Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Legacy Station Wagon) and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Recommended to us by our dealer-- over the dealer shop. Apparently, Kenny left the Subaru dealership to strike out on his own and still runs the shop along with his sons. They do good work and when they screw up (which has only happened once to us) they own up. Once, after we brought in the Legacy, it overheated due to a nicked hose from the radiator. We don't know how the nick happened, but Z-Tech took the blame for it and replaced our radiator at no charge. Very friendly, prompt and professional service. I've noticed that a lot of Minneapolis/St. Paul Subaru owners call in, and I hope they all go to Z-Tech!

Politics and religion shouldn't be part of a car repair shop review, and they also shouldn't be the prominent feature of a car repair shop. Had my oil changed today at Z-Tech - prompt service, fair price. Owner Ken spent some extra time with me to answer some questions I had. Nice guy! And, his waiting room is covered with biblical verses and paintings of Republicans. Much as I disagree, I can live with that. What I can't accept is pamphlets decrying gay people as sinful and a threat to straight people's marriages (right next to children's books teaching about Jesus' love for everyone). Everyone has a right to their opinion, so here's mine: I'm not giving money to someone who practices intolerance, demonizes minorities, and spreads lies about people - no matter how good a job they do on my car.
