I have had all of my vehicles serviced at Westland Car Care Center for more than 10 years. They are an excellent general repair facility for a broad range of vehicles. They have at least 8 bays plus an alignment facility. They are prompt and reasonable in cost. As an indicator of their skills, they provide contract repair services for the City of Westland as well as the local postal service. They also have a body shop facility at another location. Strongly reccomended for both diagnostic and repair skills. They also provide a complimentary car wash on every serviced or repaired vehicle.

I am new to the area and have relied on Car Talk Mechanics files for help in many locations. This is the first time I have ever been dissapointed in a listing. I have to write this. Beware, the owners of this shop also own a tow company. I took the tow drivers advice and in part took that advice because of the one review here. I feel a bit abused. They extracted an examination fee, to give me a crazy unrealistic estimate based on 8 hours of needed work before they could feel comfortable with the car being back on the road. The shop that repaired the car charged no examination fee and did all the repairs in an hour and a half, the total cost was only 3 times this shops "examination fee" for only one of the problems. I'm grateful that this shop at least stopped at one "examination fee." I had two problems, otherwise they would have charged me 2/3 of what the other shop charged for the entire repair just to tell me it would take who knows how many hours and dollars to fix it.
