Larry's has been great. They have very reasonable labor prices and show you exactly how your bill breaks down. They have even fixed small things for free for us. Great customer service. VERY fast service!!!

We were traveling home on I75 thru MI with our '05 Honda Odyssey pulling a pop-up camper. Brakes began screaming- needed new rear rotors and brake pads. Stopped at a car parts store who recommended Larry's just down the street in Mt Pleasant, MI. The parts store employee called ahead, and Mark, service manager at Larry's, agreed to look at our car right away. They inspected the car and did the necessary repair and had us on our way again within 2 1/2 hrs. They were courteous, helpful, timely, and although they could have charged us anything at that point, we found, after talking with our regular mechanic, that the price was reasonable and the job well-done. If we lived near them, we would certainly use them again. It's great not to be taken advantage of in an emergency situation.

First of all, I guess I'm a "biassed customer" because we have always had very positive interactions with Larry's. (That said, I've had lots of bad interactions with other mechanics in town.) It is hard to imagine a better mechanic. Years ago when we had less money Larry was willing to diagnose a problem and talk to me about fixing it myself, if I could. Now that's what I call being helpful, and I can't imagine a dealer being so willing. More recently, more than once they have saved us money by not selling us repairs I though we needed. That tells me they are not out for a quick buck. Mark, who covers the desk/phone, is always willing to explain things. He treats men and women customers the same. I've seen this with my wife and with other women customers when I have been there alone. In terms of scheduling, we have always gotten in right away when we needed to, and the work has always been done quickly. As far as we are concerned, Larry (and Mark, and the other employees) are the kind of mechanics you hope to find.

My daughter's Neon had rear brake failure last winter. She was getting ready to come back from CMU to Plymouth. We had AAA tow it to Larry's because of his reviews from the Car Talk site. Very happy with the results I was able to handle the entire transaction over the phone, including payment. Mark took care of us by explaning everything. I was happy I didn't loose a day's pay to drive up to Mt Pleasant (2hrs,one way) and have deal with it. I felt the price was reasonable. CMU parents keep these guys at the top of list for quick and honest repairs.
