We have had on more than one occasion the people at Zandee's tell us that it's not necessary to fix a particular thing on the car.

I took my Sable there, planning to sell it to my partner.
They were candid and provided excellent assessment/repair
services. How many times do you have a college graduate
who runs a repair shop? And ... in this community, he's of
Dutch ancestry. It doesn't get much better than that.

They've done a great job of helping us to decide how long to
make repairs on our older vehicles. They also were very
helpful when we had a dispute with a different shop (that
did a full engine rebuild, something Zandee's doesn't do),
helping us to ultimately get the warranty work we were
entitled to.

They did an excellent job on the brake system of my '99
Cougar. Wonderful to work with, delivers on time and in
budget.

I had the car in at another shop for AC work. The other shop confirmed I needed a new compressor, a $600+ bill. I went to Zandees for a second opinion. They confirmed the estimate seemed honest, but "wanted to try something first". Turns out that their experienced AC tech knew a trick that unseized my AC compressor, negating the need for a replacement. $100 and I was working and out the door.
Zandees impressed me both with their honesty and expertise. Quality, trusted mechanics are hard to find. I'm glad they're around.
