Look, I'm a woman. Recently, I thought my 95 VW Passat needed a new transmission - it wouldn't go into reverse and first gear was completely lost. I prepared myself to shell out thousands of dollars in repair costs. I took it in to Hal's and, although they knew I was vulnerable (read: stupid), they fixed my car with a new bolt. Anytime I take a car in, they are honest, fast, and fair. I trust them. The place is clean. The mechanics speak like educated beings. There's a comfortable place to wait (they also have a shuttle to take you to work). Best of all, the send out reminders; "You know that tie rod you said you'd order when you got back from vacation? Well, we hope you had a good trip but don't forget to take care of your car." These guys are AWESOME!

The service is always friendly, prompt, complete. They have always gone out of their way to give the very best service that you ever had. I've been taking my cars to Hal's for about 15 years now and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

The problem with my 99 Olds Alero was due to me driving through what I thought was just a puddle, but turned out to be a flooded street. The water got in my engine and the it totally seized up. My initial tow to the Olds dealership where I usually went for maintenance work, proved frustrating. The Olds dealer's mechanic looked at the engine and said it was a lost cause, and they quoted me three thousand dollars for a new engine and labor. They said it would take weeks to find a new engine, and suggested I just get a new car. Since the car had almost 100,000 miles on it already, and needed other maintence work, I didn't think it was worth it. I had Hal's Auto look at it. They said they thought they could get the engine dried out and working again. For just over $1,100, they had my car working wonderfully in less than 2 days. I'm totally thrilled with Hal and his crew.
