As a woman, car trouble is very intimidating, and the folk at Buck's make it easy to just stop in (as if i was just visiting), explain my problem and they'll make adjustments to their schedule as best they can to accommodate a customer's needs. I had to have my car back early the next morning, and even though they had a full docket, they squeezed me in so that i could have it back the next day. They fixed my valve cover for 50$ cheaper then anyone else would do it, and when i had radiator problems, they found where it was coming from when no one else could tell. Also, being open on sunday is an awesomely helpful thing. :)

It may look dumpy, and it is actually ATTACHED to a liquor store, but I had prompt and very competent service. An acquaintance steered me to Buck's after I spent a bundle on a new alternator elsewhere. My guy asked Buck what he would have charged, and it was considerabley less. The next time I broke down, I had the car towed to Buck's. Despite the low-tech look of the place, I found that they were right on top of my problems and found a service bulletin that steered them to a secondary problem, which they also fixed quickly. I got out with spending less than $500, which we consider difficult to do these days!

Been a customer for over 30 years. Extremely honest and competent. If it's not right, they make it right.
