I have relied on Ed and his son Todd, who now operates the shop, for over 30 years. They have done everything from minor repairs to major projects on the cars that I have owned. I had a string of absolute junk cars and my wife drives the good family car. I know enough about cars to understand what my limitations are and they have treated me fairly always!! I have gone to them with a problem and they have on one occasion told me that the problem could and should be fixed by the manufacturer because it involved a recall that I was not aware of! They even picked me up on another occasion when my car died and needed to be towed into the shop. They then gave me a ride home! I am completely confident in them and their staff. My daughter and her husband drive over 30 miles to have their vehicles serviced by them. I have recommended them too many of my friends and not one has come back to me and said that they were disappointed!

1. After my father in law was told he needed new brakes, he got estimates ranging from $300 - $800. I took it to Johnsons, and Todd told me they were in the business to do brakes, but this car only needed an adjustment. For under $50, he took care of the problem, and the brakes lasted another 2 years. 2. I came to pick up my wife's car after routine service. Todd pointed to a dent they made which I did not notice. He had it fixed at his expense. 3. I've told my teenaged daughters to take the car to Johnsons, if they have trouble while we are away, and just tell them to go ahead and fix it. I trust Todd to do only what is necessary, and to charge a fair price.

I thought I needed new brakes, they told me I had only 60 per cent wear and could get by for a while longer when they could have just replaced them and charged me. Another time I was having trouble with tires (slow leaks, rapid wear. They contacted B.F. Goodrich for me and got replacements under their guarantee. Nice people to deal with. Eminently honest and fair.
