Rick (of Rick's auto) is one of the last true honest auto mechanics I have ever known. He does only the work necessary, offering insights and useful information to help your vehicle last longer. Rick's is the auto mechanic equivalent of the old dusty wooden-floored places as relates to hardware stores. That is, if you're looking for one of those fancy super- gleaming-clean places that offers coffee and baguettes while you wait for your car- forget it. His shop is a greasy dirty hole in the wall, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He does good work, at a very reasonable cost, and is helpful. Once I "dicsovered" Rick, I haven't gone anywhere else. I have four (4) cars that I have serviced at his place. If you have warranty work for your shiny new $30,000 SUV - go to your dealer. But when your car is past the warranty, and starts to require some serious work- take it here.

Rick completed the repairs of my vehicle well before it was originally promised. He even offered to pick me up as I did not have a way to get to the shop as I was expecting the repairs to be completed later than expected. It is never easy finding a mechanic who you can trust, but Rick is a trusted mechanic!

Rick drives the customers cars home and uses them as his personal vehicle. He also uses customer vehicles for his own personal vacations and hauls his boat with the customer vehicles. Don't take your car to him no matter what.
