They have been very good to our two cars, and are willing to send us to the dealer when they don't have the experties to fix something.

I brought a car in thinking I needed new brakes. Jon called me back and said, "these brakes are fine, just a little squeaky. No charge." Also, Jon and Greg have been really great when I'm buying used cars. They do quality checks on the cars I bring in and give sound advice about what makes and models to look for and what to avoid. They're a great shop, just a little inconviently located.

I was recommend to John Dish at Monona Motors when I moved to the area in 2002. He has always told me when something didn't need to be done. I thought I needed tires in November, he told me they were fine until the following summer, which might have cost him a sale. My wife wanted to put about $2k in her daughter's car to fix it up, John said he;'d do the work, but when we got done, we'd have a good $1500 car! He tells me what he'd do if it was his car, then let's me decide. I trust him fully.

Took my blazer into their shop in March, 2011, because 4WD didn't work. They fixed it, but was back in a week because it didn't work again. They fixed it No Charge. Didn't use 4WD all spring or summer. Went to test it before snow flies in fall of 2011, and didn't work AGAIN. Went in and calmly explained situation. Jon said he thought they ended up with TWO defective transfer case motors. Put in a new one by a different manufacturer - parts and labor NO CHARGE. Took us a while, but hope and pray the problem is fixed. These guys stand by their work. They are all honest, straight forward and nice.

John and his colleagues have been taking care of my vehicles (4 different vehicles to date) since the 1980s. I have referred a number of friends to Monona Motors over the years. These folks are honest, kind, patient, and capable mechanics. They won't fix anything that doesn't need to be fixed. They give you options. If you ask them, "What would you do if this were your car" they tell it like it is, and help you make informed decisions. And did I mention they are patient? Lisa, Madison, WI
