I generally agree with the other comments here. Todd is very knowledgeable about Audi's and good at repairing them. He's not dirt cheap, but cheaper than the dealership. I would add that Todd is easy to work with. I feel he is as invested in me in making smart decisions about maintenance / repair rather than easy decisions - - he's not always compelling me to spend more money. Thumbs up!

They kept my 5000Turbo going thru the 179,000 miles I put on it and assisted the next owner in keeping it up and running for a couple of more years. Just totalled my A-6 Quatro with 185,000 - same deal - Todd knows what has to be dealt with on high mile Audi's and those things (especially on older models) - that are not going to cause the wheels to fall off and maybe are too expesive for a cheapskate like me to fix. Very much a Audi specilist (sp?) - but gave me some insight into a intermittent turnsignal problem on my LW-300 Saturn that allowed me to fix it today. Have been in his shop when people have brought him cars from Chicago to work on - has a great reputation. Although this is not of any interest to me - I know he has done some performance mods for people and is pretty knowledgeable about the reliability and driveability of at least the less insane things that you can do to zoom up your Audi.

I have a '94 Audi 100S wagon with 180,000 miles on it and would like to get another 100,000 out of it and with Todd Diaz's help I think it can make it. I had gone through so many mechanics, including dealers, and been disatisfied with the quality of work and felt cheated by the price. Todd is amazingly honest and oh so capable. I trust him completely. My husband will start taking his Passat (warranty is up) to Todd since a repair that Todd quoted at $600 the dealer wanted $1,000 for. Typical!

I'm a diesel tech by trade, and I do 90 percent of repairs on my car myself, because it's less hastle. When the water pump went out on my 2003 Audi a6, I knew it was too big of a job for me to do myself in a short period of time, and I also knew I didn't want to take it to a dealership or just some garage that works on "imports." I found Autobahn service online, and had my vehicle towed there on a friday evening, just before close. Todd called me monday and told me he had looked at it, that it was indeed the water pump. I had him replace the timing belt and all that goes with it while he was in there. It was done by Tuesday. Audi's are expensive to repair, but price was reasonable (far below dealership prices). He communicated well with me about everything. When I went to pick it up, I saw that the shop was immaculate. When he repaired the car, he went above and beyond. He replaced bolts that I had left out in my previous messing around with the car. He topped off my fluids, checked tire pressure, and even set the clock/date, all without my asking. (Most shops don't do that type of thing.) Even after the repair, he was friendly, called back promptly, and answered any questions I had. I trust Todd's mechanical knowledge and skill 100%. If I do still have this car when the timing belt is due again, I know where I will take it.
