We recently moved 2,000 miles away from Sean and the guys and wish we could have brought them with us. My wife started going to Capitol Tire when she was a young, single, woman. They treated her very well and never assumed that she didn't know anything about cars because she was a she. They always explain what is wrong, they only fix what needs fixing, and sometimes their bill is...LESS than the estimate! In trading mechanic stories with other people, no one has ever told us of better experiences than we have had with C.T. Also, their lot is always full, but chances are that once you have gone there, they will remember you. These guys are really good at what they do.

Great guys to work with. They know what they are doing and
don't try to snow you.

My son Scott went to them first when he worked at a
business near their store. He recommended them when I
needed work done.

I highly recommend the mechanics at Capitol Tire. I have
been taking my '97 Taurus to Capitol Tire since 2004. The
mechanics have fixed every problem I've had, and I have not
had a recurrence of one of those problems. They are honest,
explain each diagnosis and solution, and always charge a
fair price.
They provide a variety of services: for my car they've
worked on the brakes, replaced a tie rod, replaced a motor
mount, fixed an oil leak, and replaced the serpentine belt
tensioner. I also get my oil changed there and they check
over my car before long vacation trips. When they replaced
my muffler assembly, they charged $8 for labor because,
"Well, that's how long it took." One time I thought I had a
leak, they checked it over and cleaned the seal on the
radiator cap and charged $0. I'm spending about $500/year
on maintenance of my 11-year old car--very reasonable, I
think--and it's running great, even getting up to 32mpg on
the highway!
