I took my 10 yr old Corolla in because the plastic fastener connecting windshield washer resovoir had broken loose & was leaning towards the alternator. I had used a wire to attach it to the side of the engine compartment for a temporary fix. Harold found out, while ordering the part, that there were 4 possible reservoirs depending on the transmission, whether it had California emissions on it, etc. I had to stop by a second time so that he could get the VIN. When the part came in, he did not charge me for labor and apologized for the delay.

Harold Hezel, owner and mechanic, is always busy and
always friendly and positive. He has been my savior
when my radiator hose busted on a cold rainy
December evening -- stopped in the middle of several
jobs to repair my car so I cld get to work in the morning.
Harold keeps my 19 year old, 156,000 mile car going
with necessary small repairs, and never tries to sell me
on work I don't need. He advocates keeping old cars
going, and makes it possible to do this with fast,
affordable fixes. He answers my questions and
explains projects in a clear and direct way. He's very
knowledgeable, kind, and fun to talk to. A hero among
mechanics!

I have been taking my various clunkers over the past 15
years to Harold. He is always honest, fair and charges very
reasonable rates. He is a mechanic's mechanic. He almost
salivates when I bring in my Mercury Topaz V-6 with a real
timing chain. His parking area usually has 3 or 4 unusual
cars parked at his shop: Corvairs, a DeSoto and the German
boat-car hybrid sold in the U.S. in the 60s.

Harold is very honest! In the event that he feels he is not the best one for the job
(my door on my Odyssey was not working correctly) he recommends where to
go. Otherwise he does the job and does it well.
