I had them replace my clutch and a year later went back to try to get it adjusted. The mechanic explained the hydraulic clutch and why he couldn't adjust it they way my 65 dodge dart clutch could be adjusted. He adjusted the linkage to improve the problem, for free, in ten minutes and I was on my way. I can't wait until something else needs repair so I can go back!

West Seattle location 206-937-6994 9201 35th Ave SW Lee the Manager at the WEST SEATTLE shop is very honest, and wont over charge or recomend un-needed parts. I trust them and when they dont know something about your car they admit it. Prices are reasonable as well.

These guys are great. I have been using them for 12+
years. They fix what needs fixing and nothing more. They
are very honest and even remind me when things are still
covered by their warranty and then don't charge for the
repair. They are competent and do good work. Wouldn't go
anywhere else!

In 1997, I bought a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan that
already had 45K miles. I've had few problems with it and
it still runs great, is clean, etc. When it hit 99K last
month I decided to take it in to Lee and said I planned to
run the thing until it leaves a trail of parts on the road;
I'm hoping for another 25K at least.
I told him to tally up anything that it needed and it
would get done soon or late: shocks, tie rods, belts and
hoses (they were replaced at 65K) and anything else he
could find that might thwart my hopes and dreams for this
car. This, of course, was an invitation for him to get not
just another boat payment but make that nut on his vacation
home on the Cote d'Azure. The next day, he called to say
everything was fine: he did only an oil change (it was due)
and replaced the battery (which I had specifically
requested he do). Whatta Guy!

Reasonably clean shop, very friendly and helpful guys
working the counter. I plan on taking my truck back to them
for everything now. No more Jiffy lube for me!

These guys are great. I recently had a gas leak and they
replaced a valve in th fuel line. The another leak
developed about a month later and this time it was the
injectors...but they charged only for parts (with a 15%
discount) and an hour for labor, since they had recently
opened up the engine. Another time, I had forgotten that
they had replaced a clutch and when a new clutch problem
developed, they reminded me a fixed it for free. These
guys are honest, and do good work.

Poon (customers call him Lee) has been a trusted mechanic
for years. I have taken him three cars, all of which were
repaired quickly and for a reasonable fee. He doesn't do
unnecessary work and is always perfect about calling with an
estimate (which he meets or beats) prior to doing work. He
is friendly and 100% honest (in my opinion) and his staff is
brilliant at diagnosing issues. The best mechanic I have
ever had. When I was purchasing another used car, I brought
in a number of cars for him to look at and he was frank and
quick to veto those he thought were lemons or not worth the
money. He spotted rebuild issues immediately on one car
that I couldn't see until he pointed them out - very good
eye (and ear) for diagnosing. I just wish I were still
living in the same neighborhood - hard to find someone who
could beat his service in my new area of town.

My '94 super reliable Toyota Corolla has had one Achilles
heel: its alternator. The original gave out when the car
was 7 years old with 32,000 miles on it. The second one
conked out several years later. I went to Dere's; they
installed a rebuilt alternator that lasted a day or two. At
no expense to me, they towed the car and replaced the
alternator. That alternator subsequently gave up the ghost,
again they replaced it gratis. They have since repaired or
replaced other items expertly and at reasonable prices.
