Very honest. Paul has worked me in on a tight schedule,
and has always done really good work.

I've taken my cars to the Clintons for more than 10 years--
these guys do a great job for a really reasonable price
and are exceedingly honest. They won't fix anything until
it's completely broken, and if the problem is elusive,
they'll send you somewhere else. Ideal for routine
mainenance, but be prepared to see more than one mechanic
if your problem is tricky.

As a woman who does not know very much about cars it was
impressive to find a shop that was so honest. The car makes
a few noises that might have been exploited at another shop.
They took the time to explain to me what they had done to
make sure my car could make our planned 1200mile trip. They
also took the time to explain what some of the noises were
and their effects on the car without pressuring me to come
back and fix them.

Second generation proprietor,
Only complaint I have had in seven years, is they didn't
hear the worn brakes whistle on my Toyota, which I sent it
in for. I asked them to look again and they then replaced
the pads. Four blocks from major bus routes, probably have
other bus on same street.
Two blocks to the European Deli.
(One other complaint: they don't work on Mercedes... Oh,
that's my fault.)

Clinton Auto Repair is one of those nice "honest shops" with decent prices and
great service. Not only do they quote a realistic estimate, but I've known the
service people to explain details of a problem and give a good recommendation
of where to go for service they don't deal with. They are next to a good bus line
if needed.
