Whenever I take my vehicle to Budd & Co. - John tries very hard to make the work affordable. He will offer options such as if I pick up the parts myself he will install them and not charge me for picking up the parts and it is usually faster. My son has an old 74 Dodge PU and John has saved him money by doing repairs very reasonably for him since he is only 18 and doesn't have much money. Mom and Dad won't pay for his repairs, we are terrible parents that way. We are making him be responsible. What a novelty!! I have been very happy with Budd & Co.'s work over the years.

I left my request for an absentee ballot on the front seat and they offered to mail it in for me. The two times I've needed their help I've been thrilled. Kind and considerate they worked with me and have repaired my view of mechanics just as much as they've fixed my car

I never worry about getting ripped off when It take my car there. They replaced the alternator in my '95 Saturn, which included a 1 year parts and work warranty. When the alternator died 11 months later, they agreed that it would be replaced for free, and didn't even hesitate to offer to do so. I once dropped a car off on a Thursday night, to get my brakes fixed. When they hadn't even looked at it by 2 on Friday, I was worried I wouldn't have a car for the weekend. They looked at the car a little bit later, determined that the calipers needed to be replaced, and finished the work by the end of the day.

My daughter and son-in-law were in the UK on vacation when their car died in Seattle. They called me in Maryland to ask if I could coordinate the repair. They thought that the car would need a new clutch. I talked to Mike, and he arranged to have the car towed. After looking at the car, he determined that the hydrolics system was in trouble. We agreed that he would fix the hydraulics and then determine whether the clutch needed to be replaced. He called the next morning and said that he fixed the hydraulics, and that solved the car's problem. No furthrer repair was necessary. Mike is incredibly honest, he follows-through when he promises, he does quality work, and he is a pleasure to do business with. If I lived in Seattle, I would definitely take my car to MIke. I lived nearby for 25 years and often observed Budd & Co. It is ironic to me now that I had to move from the neighborhood for health reasons, they are my mechanics!! They've fixed my red '66 Dodge Dart as well as my '85 Subaru. During the Hannuka eve storm and terrible snows of '05 or '06, I'd left my credit card on the seat of my Dodge Dart. It was still there when I picked up the car! Another time I left my check book in the car and it was still there when I picked the car up. I have always received excellence of service. They are very calming for someone in a major automotive freak out. They are so trustworthy and haven't charged me, for example when they found my Subaru '85 unable to be treated to pass the Wash State emmissions control. They took my dead in the water Dodge Dart as I barely coasted it to their shop (through the VERY busy Rainier and Deaborn intersection) and got it working, when other mechanics had failed. I will never go to another car shop, this family owned business since 1952.

My VW mechanic referred me to Budd & Co when I bought an Econoline van in 1977. I no longer have the VW, but I'm still relying on Budd for all my vehicle maintenance. I rely on them because I can trust them. I don't have to worry about whether I really need a Budd-recommended repair or whether the price is reasonable. The advice has always been good and the price has always been reasonable. I send my friends and family to Budd, knowing that they will be in good hands.
