Larry is owner/head mechanic of Suquamish Auto Repair. He is college educated and worked for a dealer in Seattle before coming to Suquamish. He takes the time to explain things to me if I don't understand, and if the repair would be considerably more than what the car is worth AND the car is still drivable, he usually advises against the repair. If I am insistant, he says something along the lines of, "It's your money if you want it fixed that bad, then O.K." There has been only one repair he was unable to do which was a clutch replacement on an 87 Taurus. I had to take it to Liberty Bay Transmission. The clutch ended up going out after a year and I did not go back. Anyway, I highly recommend Larry even if you are coming from Kingston or Poulsbo (I am moving to Seattle soon and will still take my vehicle to him for repairs I can't do myself).

Larry and Fred are awesome. Fred will always explain what
the repair is and why it's needed. He will also take the
time to explain to you what is good in the way of
replacement vehicles and will always be honest as to the
validity/value of the repair
